The Cooking Classes

seafoodIn addition to providing an enchanting setting for your stay in Provence, le Mas de Lilou is offering cooking classes on a weekly basis starting May 2014. Throughout the year and the different menus offered, you will travel across France and the continents as Catherine (the owner) did on numerous trips around the world. She returned from these travels with many recipes of regional and local specialties and has also created sensational adaptions.

Private classes are also available upon request based on availability and with a week’s notice in order to give Catherine time to prepare the menu and gather the ingredients.

The weekly classes take place on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, from 2:00pm to 4:30 pm.

These classes are “hands on” and each of the students will go home with the dishes he/she has produced.

On special occasions, the lessons will be followed by a meal shared by all the participants who will have the opportunity to enjoy the dishes prepared. On those days, the classes will be pushed back to 5:00pm and will be followed by a dinner at 8:30 pm.

  • The classes last on average 2.5 hours. Participants go home with the dishes they cooked during the class except when the class is immediately followed by a meal.

Here is the recipe for a guaranteed fantastic evening in Provence:

  • 10/12 guests, international or local, famous or not but all in love with great food.
  • Great food, great wines, great conversation.

Come join us every Thursday at 7:30pm for the “Aperitif” (drink) before dinner.
